T1635T-8I Snubberless 16A TRIAC – STMicroelectronics (TO-220AB Insulated)

The T1635T-8I is a high-performance Snubberless™ TRIAC from STMicroelectronics, designed for general purpose AC switching and phase angle control applications. Rated at 16A RMS on-state current and 800V repetitive peak off-state voltage, this device operates in three quadrants and can be used without snubber networks (R+C circuits), significantly simplifying PCB design. The TO-220AB insulated package provides 2500V RMS isolation between the tab and terminals, making it safe for heatsink mounting without additional insulators. Gate trigger requirements are compatible with low-power microcontroller outputs and standard TRIAC driver ICs. UL certified (ref. E81734) and fully RoHS compliant.
