The MQ-4 Methane CNG Gas Sensor module is engineered for reliable detection of methane (CH₄) and natural gas in the environment. Featuring a sensitive SnO₂ gas-sensing layer, the sensor increases conductivity when exposed to methane, enabling accurate gas measurement. The module includes an onboard LM393 comparator to provide both analog and digital outputs, along with an adjustable potentiometer for threshold calibration.

It operates using a 5V power supply and is ideal for gas leakage detection applications such as home safety alarms, industrial monitoring systems, and IoT gas-sensing projects. Designed with high stability and long lifetime, the MQ-4 module is easy to interface with microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi.
