Product details
The MQ-8 Hydrogen Gas Sensor Module uses a high-sensitivity semiconductor sensing element coated with tin dioxide (SnO₂), whose conductivity increases when hydrogen gas is present. The module continuously monitors the hydrogen concentration and produces an analog voltage output proportional to the gas level.
A built-in comparator circuit with a potentiometer allows sensitivity adjustment and provides a digital trigger output when hydrogen concentration exceeds the set threshold. The module includes indicator LEDs for power and digital alarm status. It is commonly used in hydrogen storage systems, fuel-cell technology labs, gas leakage safety alarms, and industrial process monitoring.
