The RS485 to TTL Converter Module is designed to facilitate serial communication between TTL-based microcontrollers (like Arduino, STM32, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi) and devices using the RS485 communication standard. Based on an RS485 transceiver IC such as the MAX485 or equivalent, the module converts single-ended TTL signals to differential RS485 signals, allowing stable data transmission over long distances (up to 1200 meters).
The module supports half-duplex communication, meaning the same pair of wires is used for transmitting and receiving data. It includes transceiver direction control pins (DE/RE) that can be managed automatically by software or manually through microcontroller GPIO pins.
