Product details
The MQ-8 Hydrogen Gas Sensor Module uses a high-sensitivity semiconductor sensing element coated with tin dioxide (SnOâ‚‚), whose conductivity increases when hydrogen gas is present. The module continuously monitors the hydrogen concentration and produces an analog voltage output proportional to the gas level.
A built-in comparator circuit with a potentiometer allows sensitivity adjustment and provides a digital trigger output when hydrogen concentration exceeds the set threshold. The module includes indicator LEDs for power and digital alarm status. It is commonly used in hydrogen storage systems, fuel-cell technology labs, gas leakage safety alarms, and industrial process monitoring.
